Crete Buses

Crete buses are frequent between the major towns. The public bus transportation in Crete, can be inconvenient though for the traveller who wants to visit the island's more interesting sites. Alternatives may be the organised excursions, or the hiring of a car. There is one bus company in Crete, called KTEL. KTEL buses which connect the towns or villages are coloured in light green and those inside the towns in blue. Tickets can be bought at the bus stations and often by the ticket collector, inside the bus.
